I was wondering if we would be able to stick around the airport upon arrival or do we need to head over to our Magical Express Bus asap? We find Orlando airport one of the nicest we have seen and would like to have lunch before going to hotel. Thanks.

    Hi Carmen,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question!

Although we usually tend to make a mad dash straight to Walt Disney World Resort the moment our plane lands in Orlando, you’re right! Orlando International Airport can be considered a destination in and of itself. Don’t worry, you can take as much time as you need after your flight lands before heading to your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel via Disney’s Magical Express. You can meander through the airport’s shops, have lunch, and then make your way downstairs to check in for your motorcoach at your leisure.

I do have an alternate suggestion for you: because flights to Canada are “international” flights, your motorcoach transfer back to Orlando International Airport can leave very early before your return flight (anywhere from 3-4 hours). If you don’t have an early morning flight home, I would recommend eating lunch at the airport on your way out of Orlando, seeing as you’ll have PLENTY of time to kill before your flight leaves.

I hope my answer helps you plan your upcoming vacation and please don’t hesitate to come back and visit us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,
