Hi Salina, Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel! We love helping guests plan their Disney vacations!

You are welcome to bring your son into the restroom with you if it makes you more comfortable. I, too, have a 9 1/2 year old son. If my husband or our older son is around, I've got bathroom breaks covered. However, in the event that it is just my 9 year old with me, I have done several different things. I've waited right outside the boys room door for him, and then had him stand right inside the entry way to the ladies room to wait for me. The entry areas are generally plenty large for him to wait off to the side. It's Disney World, were families are everywhere...I know I've personally never thought twice when I've seen a young boy waiting for his Mom at the ladies room. I've also used the "companion" restroom facilities. These are in various locations throughout the Parks and are large enough for several family members to go in together.

I hope this helps and that you enjoy your magical vacation with your son. Please let us know if we can help you further with your planning!
