Hi, wonderful moms!! Might you know why Hollywood Studios is closing at 6pm for a few nights during the first week of so of October? (Did I miss something???) Thank you for all the wonderful knowledge and advice!!

    Hi Randi!

Thanks so much for your kind words! What makes being a member of the Disney Parks Moms Panel wonderful is assisting Guests like you and we truly appreciate you coming to us with your questions.

Parks can close early for a number of reasons including private events or Cast Member only events so there may not always be a published reason that a park is closing early. One event that I know is happening during that week (and I'll be there to take part in it) is the Tower of Terror 10-Miler on October 5, 2013. This incredible race starts and ends at Disney's Hollywood Studios. While the race does not actually begin until 10 p.m. EST, they will close Hollywood Studios early in order to prepare for the race.

There is also a Disney Hollywood Villains Bash on Saturday, October 5th from 10:00 p.m. - 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 6th as part of the Tower of Terror 10-Miler race festivities. I made it until 3:45 a.m. after our run last year but this year I plan to stay the last 15 minutes too - ha!

Other than that, there aren't any scheduled events open to the public during that time that you'll be missing. If you have the Park Hopper Option on your tickets, the days that Hollywood Studios closes at 6 p.m. may end up being great days to run over and hit a few of the popular attractions as some Guests may avoid that park those days if they don't have the Park Hopper Option and looking to get more time in the park.

Please feel free to keep the questions coming. We're hEAR for you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
