We willl be driving to Disney World in Oct and staying at Animal Kingdom in a two bedroom villa. It is my understanding that we will not have to pay for parking at the resort. We will have two cars. Is the free parking offered for both vehicles?

    Welcome Home Susan!

It sounds like you have a wonderful visit coming up! You are staying at my most favorite Resort on Disney property. My first stay at a Disney Vacation Club property was at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House, and after waking up the first morning to a giraffe munching its breakfast outside our window, I was hooked! You will love the African-inspired atmosphere, the fantastic art, and the delicious food. Speaking of delicious food, make sure to have a meal at Sanaa - the Butter Chicken is a must!

You will be glad to hear that as long as the drivers of the car are listed on the reservation, parking at the Resort is complimentary. So feel free to bring both cars! I chatted with a Cast Member at Member Services who reminded me that this is for overnight self-parking. If you choose to use valet services, the valet fee applies. Members can also dine, shop and enjoy day activities at other Disney Resort hotels without charge.

Did you know that over 200 birds and hoofed animals call Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge home? Make sure to head to the Lobby Concierge and pick up a Wildlife Field Guide to help you identify each of the species. Once you have your animal specialist hat firmly on, see if you can find everyone’s favorite bird Kevin at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. I’ve heard she’s recently migrated home!

Susan, if you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back on by. In the meantime, continue to Dream as Dreamers do!
