My wife and I want to visit wdw the first week in december and bring our two grandsons with us, they are 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 we want to stay at the contemporary resort in the tower with the magic kingdom view will our grandkids be able to see the fireworks?

I hope you have fun on your trip.  We stayed at the Contemporary this past January and our daughter was a little over 1 1/2.  We had a great view of the fireworks from our tower room which also had a Magic Kingdom view.  My daughter on the other hand was more interested in jumping on the bed than watching the fireworks.  I tried to explain to her that we paid a lot for the room and that when I was her age I had to stay in downtown Kissimmee.  My argument didn't beat out jumping and running around the room.

So, to answer your question, you may be able to see the fireworks great, but its up to your grandkids as to whether or not they want to hang out on the balcony with you.
