If my wife and I typically make 2-4 day trips to disney would the no expiration option be worth it? Or should we just try and catch the free dining plan? We usually stay in value resorts.

    Hi Brad,

Are you a gambler?  If so, then you could try to catch the free dining plan promotions when they are offered.  However, I haven't had much luck qualifying for free dining.  I've just never been able to travel at off-peak seasons when free dining promotions have traditionally been offered.  If this has typically been the case for you as well, I highly encourage you to look into the theme park tickets with the no expiration feature.  Purchasing this type of ticket is a great way to avoid annual ticket price increases.  For instance, if you buy a ten-day ticket with the no expiration feature in 2011, you will essentially be paying 2011 prices even if you redeem a day in 2021.  You know that tickets will cost more at that time so you're guaranteed to save some money.

If you happen to qualify for a free dining promotion at some point, you could still take advantage of it.  Just put that ticket with the no expiration feature somewhere safe and use it at another time.  The unused days will still be waiting for you on your next trip.

Let us know if you have any additional questions about theme park tickets at Walt Disney World.  We'd be delighted to help!
