My wife and I are taking our 2yr old son to disney in april for our anniversary I was planning on taking my son to a character dinner but i can't find any info on if way will be charged for him or not?

Children under the age of three dine for free at Disney's buffet and family-style character meals. At the plated character meals where you order from a menu (such as Cinderella's Royal Table), children under the age of three may eat from your plate for free, or you may order them a child meal at the regular children's price.

Since you want the most value for your dollar, i strongly suggest a buffet. Some great choices would be:

    - Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom, with Winnie the Pooh and friends
    - Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort, Mickey and the classic Disney characters
    - Tusker House at the Animal Kingdom, Donald Duck and friends

These receive uniformly great reviews from families with boys.

Have a wonderful anniversary and a great family vacation!
