My wife and son will be arriving at Disney World on Dec. 8, 2012. How should we plan our visits to the water parks at this time of year?

    Hey Keith!

December is our favorite month to visit Walt Disney World.  The holiday decorations and Special Events make Disney even more magical.

The one caveat to visiting in December is the weather can be quite unpredictable.  We've had visits where we were in winter coats on Monday and in shorts on  Friday.  The water parks will close if the weather gets too cold.  The updates will be posted in your resort hotel lobby or at the concierge desk.

You will need to be flexible with which day you plan on visiting the water park.  Keep an eye on the forecast each morning! Have one or two "flex" days in your itinerary where you're not tied down to an in-park dining reservation.  Then, you can visit the water park on that day if it's warm or head to a theme park if it's not a bathing suit kind of day.

I hope this helps you plan your December vacation! Please let me know if there's anything else you need help with.

    Have a magical day,
    Ashley
