My wife just registered for the Glass Slipper Challenge , February 2015. We are DVC members and have already booked at our home resort Animal Kingdom Lodge. Is there a host DVC property that is more convenient than others for getting to the race?

    Greetings!

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is a great resort. I stayed there during the 2014 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend and had a lovely experience. However, I can see where you would be interested in Disney Vacation Club properties more centrally located to all the race action. As a Disney Vacation Club Member as well, I know how important selecting a convenient resort location is.

My suggestions for convenience, location and bountiful dining options are Disney's Beach Club Villas or Disney's BoardWalk Villas. These two locations check all the boxes necessary for ensuring a successful and enjoyable race experience. Another great option is Bay Lake Tower, as the Monorail will be available to transport runners to the Start Zone area on race mornings.

I hope these suggestions are helpful in assisting you on selecting the perfect "castle" during the 2015 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend. Choosing where to stay is part of the fun!

If I can be of any further help, please do not hesitate to ask.

    Warm regards,

    Faith
