Family in Deluxe Villa Resort
  • On Oct 5, 2019
    Matt from MB Asked

Hi! My wife and I are planning a surprise trip to WDW for our family of 5 PLUS my parents and sister-in-law. There’ll be 8 of us in total. Aside from the obvious family suites and two room options at “AOA”, what other options are there for us on property?

    Hi Matt,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question, my fellow Canadian!

We often visit Walt Disney World Resort with lots of our friends and family, so I’m used to trying to find accommodations for a large party. Because we’re Disney Vacation Club members, my absolute favourite type of room for a party of up to 8 people is, without a doubt, a 2 Bedroom Villa at a Deluxe Villa Resort. Those rooms have at least 2 bathrooms (sometimes even 3!), a master bedroom area, living room area (with one or two pull out couches) a full kitchen and washer and dryer and then another room with two queen beds. If you’re looking for even more space, a Grand Villa might be an even better option, but I’ll admit that both of these options can get pretty pricey.

A more “budget friendly” option would be to get connecting (or adjoining rooms) at any Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, including Value Resort Hotels and Moderate Resort Hotels. Although you can’t request connecting or adjoining rooms in advance, you’ll be able to do so when you perform your Online Check-In. I’d highly recommend making your reservation by contacting Walt Disney World Resort by phone if you want to make sure that your different rooms reservations are properly linked in Disney’s system.

I hope my answer helps you narrow down your hotel choices for your upcoming vacation. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
