My wife and I are planning our first Disney trip with our two year old daughter. Not sure which Disney Hotel/resort to pick, but want to stay at Disney. Any advice would be helpful. We don't need the most expensive option, but not the cheapest either.

Not the cheapest, but not the most expensive  -- it sounds like a moderate resort will be a good match for you.  WDW has 4 resorts within this range:  Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, Port Orleans French Quarter, and Port Orleans Riverside.  I'm including a link to let you take a virtual tour of each resort to see which one's theming you'd enjoy most.

I also have a couple other ideas.  Disney offers a family suite at the All-Star Music (a value resort).  You may enjoy having 2 rooms when your little one is sleeping, and the cost is quite reasonable.  My other idea is a standard room at the Wilderness Lodge.  While this is a deluxe resort, a standard room costs less.  The Wilderness Lodge is a Magic Kingdom resort, so it is just a short boat ride away to the Magic Kingdom which makes going back to the resort for naps easy.  Also, most of the time we were able to roll the stroller onto the boat without having to fold it up, but this can vary with water level changes.
