Family in Deluxe Villa Resort

My wife and I would like to plan our first 'blended' family trip to WDW, with our 6 kids, ages 17-8. All of us have been to WDW before, but never all together! We are looking for recommendations for which resort options would best accommodate us!

    Hi Matthew,

What a special trip; to take your family to Walt Disney World for the first time together!

It sounds like you will have eight guests in your traveling party - you and your wife, and your six children. Given this, I suggest that you take a look at the Walt Disney World Deluxe Villa Resorts. These resorts offer villas, many of which accommodate larger parties. With eight guests, you can stay in a two-bedroom villa. These will offer not only sleeping quarters, but a full kitchen, washer and dryer right, and living space in the villa! I love these in-villa amenities for making my vacation more relaxing. Take a look at the link I provided for a complete list of the deluxe villa resorts, as there might be some that are particularly appealing to you. I will share a couple of my favorites.

My family really enjoys a stay at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. The resort is sleek and modern, and you can walk to Magic Kingdom from it! The resort also offers monorail access, which makes getting to Epcot a breeze. Another resort that we truly enjoy is Disney's Old Key West Resort. This resort is themed after the Florida Keys, and the feeling here is relaxed, and the villas are hugely spacious.

Your family could also look into booking two traditional hotel rooms at any Walt Disney World resort hotel. While your party would fit into this configuration, given your circumstance where you seem to be looking for the ability for your whole family to come together, that a villa might be a better option.

Please do let us know if you have any further questions, Matthew!
