Wife and I are in our early 70's. It's our 1st trip to Disney World, but made several trips to Disneyland some years ago. What should we see in 1 or 2 days for an great trip considering our lower energy level. Be in area Sept.15 thru 19, 2014.

    Hi Donald,

I love first trips to the Walt Disney World Resorts!

Disneyland and the Walt Disney World Resorts are two very different vacations. Disneyland is laid back with a feel of old time fun. Walt Disney World is four parks - Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom - that pack a lot of activities for guests who visit. Epcot is almost two theme parks and each park is at least a day a piece.

If you have one day, you have a few options. You can visit Magic Kingdom which is inspired by Disneyland. You have classic Disney attractions with Jungle Cruise, Big Thunder Mountain and Haunted Mansion. You also have new favorites such as Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, Enchanted Tales with Belle and Mickey's Philharmagic to enjoy as well. Add a parade on Main Street and fireworks to end the day, you have a wonderful Disney day.

Another option is Epcot. Epcot is composed of Future World and World Showcase. Future World combines science in a fun way to show how the world may be in the future. Test Track, 'Soarin and Living with the Land are some guests favorites. World Showcase has 11 countries from around the world. Each country has its own unique feel and it is like touring the world in a day.

You should grab a FastPass+ at kiosks to make waiting easier. Also, try to book a reservation for lunch or dinner at a restaurant so you have some time to relax and get ready for the rest of your day.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
