My wife and I am going to Disney World for the first time in April and we are starting to plan what we should use our fast passes on. How far apart should we book each ride on the fast pass?

Hi Sal! How thrilled you must be to take your first Walt Disney World Resort vacation with your wife! My husband and I have taken many trips with just the two of us and we have a blast every time.

I have tried just about every method there is for getting the most use out of our FastPass+. Since you can book up to three FastPass+ selections initially, I have found that it works well to plan all three earlier in the day, then use the My Disney Experience mobile app to book more throughout the day.

An example in Magic Kingdom Park would be: Peter Pan's Flight 9 a.m.-10 a.m.; Seven Dwarfs Mine Train 10 a.m.-11 a.m.; and Space Mountain 11 a.m.-12 p.m. (noon). Each FastPass+ is valid for one hour, so you could enter the park at 9 a.m., have a PhotoPass photographer take some memorable pictures of you two in front of Cinderella Castle, then head to Fantasyland. As long as you use your FastPass+ before the hour is up at 10 a.m., you're good! Later, after you used your Space Mountain FastPass+, you could then get on your My Disney Experience mobile app and choose one more FastPass+. You can do this as many times as you want throughout the day, subject to availability, one FastPass+ at a time.

Some attractions and Character experiences are definitely more difficult to come by, so I suggest snatching those up for your initial three selections as early as possible. If you're staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you can book these up to 60 days in advance, otherwise you can book them 30 days in advance. The one's listed in the example above would be good choices for Magic Kingdom Park. Frozen Ever After, Test Track and Soarin' are popular in Epcot. Avatar Flight of Passage and Na'vi River Journey are top choices in Disney's Animal Kingdom. Toy Story Mania! and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror are my favorites in Disney's Hollywood Studios. Enjoy!
