My wife and I are going to Disney with my elderly parents in December. What resort is the most convenient to see all off Disney durning the holidays? Should we rent wheel chairs or motor scootters? Is renting a car a better option? Thank you!

I prefer the convenience of renting a car, especially if you plan to tour resorts to view the holiday decor.    Because Disney's massive transportation system does not run from resort to resort (but rather resort to parks and back), for guests relying on Disney transportation, it can be time consuming to tour resorts.  On the other hand, if you plan to tour only the theme parks, you may be better off skipping the rental car because finding one that can accommodate two scooters might be a challenge.  Renting motor scooters for your parents is advisable for touring the parks; all that mileage can wear even a sprite young person out!  As for where to call "home," staying in one of Disney's monorail resorts will provide you with the most convenient means of travel to Magic Kingdom, as well as two other resorts.  Grand Floridian is the most popular holiday choice, but also the most expensive.  Disney's Contemporary would offer the convenience of the monorail at a lower per night rate.  Have a great holiday trip, Bill!
