    Steve Asked

My wife and I are considering taking our 7 & 3 year old girls to WDW this year. Are we better off going in Sept, Oct, or Dec before Xmas for crowds and lines? How about pricing/package deals? Also, enough rides for under 48"? Thanks!

    Hi Steve!
It is fantastic that you are planning your trip to Walt Disney World for the fall time.  Your daughters are at the perfect age to really appreciate and enjoy the theme parks.  December is a wonderful time to visit as the parks are decorated for the Holidays but will also be crowded the closer you to Christmas and New Year's Eve.  My favorite time to visit is October.  The weather is perfect, and the crowds are low.  Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is a must this time of the year.  The girls and you can dress in costume and trick or treat in the Magic Kingdom.  Not only are the Disney characters dressed up, but there is a special parade and fireworks to celebrate Halloween.  Most of the rides accommodate the younger guests under 48 inches except Rock 'n' Rollercoaster in Hollywood Studios and Primeval Whirl in Animal Kingdom.  I want you to know about The Rider Switch Pass since your girls are different ages.  You all need to see a Cast Member before riding a ride and if your three year old can't ride, you will get a Rider Switch Pass.  This is like a Fast Pass so the other adult who stayed out can ride the attractions as well.  I would stay on Walt Disney World property as you will be able to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours and use Magical Express for free airport transportation.  I have so much more to say on this subject, Steve, but have run out of room!  Please send me a follow up question if you would like more information.  Have fun planning your magical vacation.
