My wife and I will be coming to WDW in Feb for our 20th anniversary, minus the kids. We're staying at Saratoga but will be going straight to the MK the morning we arrive to do the Keys to the Kingdom tour. Will we have to pay for parking the 1st mornin

    Hi Brian!

You must be crazy excited about your upcoming reservation to Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour! There are a few reasons why I would like to encourage you to check-in at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa first.

The answer to your question about paying for parking before checking-in is...maybe. While Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Guests do not pay to park at any of the theme parks during their stay, there must be a way to identify you as such. The easiest way to do this would be with your dashboard parking permit, which is given by either the parking Cast Member at your Resort parking lot, is included in your check-in packet.

It has been a while since I have parked our own vehicle at a Walt Disney World Resort theme park since I love to enter the "Disney bubble" and rely on the convenient Complimentary Resort Transportation, so I made a call to see if your MagicBand could gain you free access to the parking lot at Magic Kingdom Park. It turns out that it can, but only if it is working properly and showing your Resort reservation, which would be verified at the time of check-in.

Finally, you didn't mention if you will be using the Disney Dining Plan.  If so, those entitlements must be activated at check-in before you could use them to pay for your meals.

Swing by your Reservations area in your My Disney Experience account and complete Online Check-in for an expedited experience in person.

    Wishing you magical memories,

    Sally
