My wife and I just booked our trip to Disney for the week of May 23rd. Many of the character meals are already booked. Our 3-year old son is a Mickey fanatic and will be celebrating his 3rd birthday. What is the best way to get him in front of Mickey?

    Hi Kyle,

You don't need to book a character dining experience to enjoy one-on-one time with Mickey.  Did you know that as of this spring you can get a fast pass to meet Mickey?  Just go to the Town Square Theater inside the gates of the Magic Kingdom.  That's where you'll find the "big cheese," himself.  Here's a recent excerpt from the Disney Parks blog which describes the new meet-and-greet area.

Meanwhile, if I were you I'd keep calling (407) WDW-DINE every so often to see if there have been any cancellations at Chef Mickey's in Disney's Contemporary Resort during your stay.  That's a great place to meet and interact with Mickey and his pals.

Wishing you a magical vacation next month!  You must be so excited!
