Le Cellier Steakhouse

Why is Le Cellier steakhouse two dining table service? Do they have a quick service option? Thank you! Caitlyn

    Hi Caitlyn,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You raise a great question about signature dining experiences at Walt Disney World Resort. If you visited Epcot a dozen years ago, you may have noticed that Le Cellier Steakhouse in the Canada Pavilion was once a restaurant that required only one Disney Dining Plan table service credit to dine before 4 p.m.. However, when that was the case, it seemed nearly impossible to get an advance dining reservation at Le Cellier. Since Le Cellier Steakhouse became a signature dining experience at both lunch and dinner times, it is a bit easier to get a reservation.

It's not entirely clear why a restaurant at Walt Disney World Resort changes from a single to a double Disney Dining Plan entitlement restaurant, but I suspect the shift takes place as a consequence of expanding menus, restaurant popularity and a variety of other factors. What I do know for sure is that I would gladly pay two Disney Dining Plan credits for the Canadian cheddar cheese soup and pretzel bread alone. Just the thought of them makes my mouth water. The filet mignon is pretty amazing, too.

While the Canada Pavilion does not offer a quick service option, you will often find a Canada-themed kiosk during the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. If you'd like a taste of Canada without having to use any of your Disney Dining Plan entitlements, that is a fabulous option.

Let us know if there's anything else you'd like to know about Disney dining.

    Bon appétit,
    Jill
