Why are fast pass options offered for the fireworks shows now. We are planning our trip in May 2017. We have been twice before but I don't remember using a fast pass for these. Also, will anymore Star Wars attractions be open then?

    Hi Machelle,

A vacation is in your future. May 2017 it is. I have felt it. And Disney's Hollywood Studios is THE place to experience Star Wars at Walt Disney World Resort.

For those younglings that are ready to face their fears and learn the ways of the Force, Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple will teach them how to use a lightsaber and prepared them to battle Darth Vader himself, and the Seventh Sister Inquisitor. You can also encounter Kylo Ren and meet the friendly Chewbacca in Star Wars Launch Bay, but make sure you take some time to explore and see all the costumes, props and replicas from the movies. And Star Tours - The Adventure Continues now includes a new destination from Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

FastPass+ lets you skip the lines giving you more time. Some of the firework experiences may offer them, and let you enjoy them from a special viewing location. This is something I recommend to families with little ones, allowing them to skip the long lines or need to arrive earlier.

One last tip: the Dark Side clouds everything. Impossible to see, the future is. Make sure you check the schedules next year, and verify with the Times Guide when you get there. You should also download the My Disney Experience mobile app which will help you with your planning needs. May the Force be with you.
