At why age would you suggest first bringing an infant to Disneyland? What would be your advice for traveling with a young one (4 months old)?

Hi, Alessandra! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Bringing a baby of any age to the Disneyland Resort can really be a magical experience. While the child won’t remember the time you spent there, you will have so many wonderful memories from watching your baby react to meeting characters, riding attractions, and maybe even watching his/her eyes light up while viewing nighttime entertainment. My best advice for traveling with infants is to take things slow and follow their pace and emotional cues. Don’t expect to hit all the rides from open to close, but instead make a loose plan of a few things you and your child might enjoy and then see where the day takes you. Staying flexible can really mean the difference between enjoying yourselves and struggling.

While you are at the parks, you will most definitely want to utilize the Baby Care Centers. There is one located in each park and they offer large, cushy changing tables, rocking chairs, and high chairs plus they sell all sorts of baby essentials should you need anything during your visit.

If you plan to use a baby carrier or wrap, you might find it convenient to “wear” your child while you ride attractions. Your infant can ride with you on any attraction that does not have a height restriction. Just ask the Cast Member as you enter the queue if the attraction permits keeping the child in the carrier while you ride.

I have lots more tips to share, so please stop by again with any other questions you may have!
