Hi Whitney! I read one of your answers to if would it be a good idea to park hop whith little ones, and you said it might be better a fireworks cruise or a dinner show. I would like to know what a Fireworks Cruise is? Could you explain more? THANKS!!!

    Aslin:

Although our family has only been on the Pirates & Pals fireworks cruise, I left our evening saying we'd do another night cruise for sure.

Our evening began with an all-you-want "dessert" buffet that might send you into a diabetic coma: cotton candy, brownies, chocolate coins, trail mix, popcorn, etc. After chasing it with coke and hot cocoa, we got our picture taken with Captain Hook. From there, we loaded our "ships" and took off for a night cruise on Seven Seas Lagoon and watched the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom. I've seen more fireworks shows at WDW than I can count, but this one was spectacular, truly memorable. The music from the parks was piped in and it was a better seat than any I could think of IN the park!

You don't have to be a kid for the Pirates & Pals fireworks cruise, but if you want something more intimate just for your family, you might want to reserve your own boat. (Click here for more info.) The cost for a 25-foot pontoon for up to 10 adults and 2 children is $275 with tax. If you have a large party, it might be more economical to reserve your own boat.

Because I'm so limited on space here, there is a great description of all the cruises at www.allears.net under Beyond the Theme Parks then choose Specialty Cruises.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
