When we've gone in the past, there was adventures at Epcot with a phone-like device and you found hidden things around the park. Are there still adventures like that? Or other scavenger hunts? Thinking of something fun for my preteens and teens.

    Hi Jennifer,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We're always eager to answer your questions as you plan your magical vacation with your family.

Good news! There are now even more ways to have interactive fun with your whole family throughout the Walt Disney World theme parks. The experience you describe at Epcot is Agent P's World Showcase Adventure featuring Phineas and Ferb. Or you may recall its original theme based on the Kim Possible animated series. That adventure is still available but it has tossed out the flip phones and gone high tech.

The scavenger hunt is now available through the Play Disney Parks app. When you download the app, you not only can search the World Showcase for clues with the Phinas and Ferb game, you can access a host of trivia games, music and other interactive activities in all four theme parks, including special games in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Hollywood Studios. The app allows you to turn wait times into game times with the family and to add another layer of fun to your visit.

Outside of the app, at Magic Kingdom, you can conjure up a scavenger hunt with the Sorcerers of Magic Kingdom. Stop by the Firehouse on Main Street U.S.A. to pick up the card and map you need to get started. It's an activity for the whole family. Or you can conquer missions in Adventureland during A Pirate's Adventure -- Treasures of the Seven Seas.

The app and these in-park experiences all are free or included in the price of admission.

For more interactive adventure, you might want to check out The VOID: Step Beyond Reality at Disney Springs. My daughter, who is in her 20s, recently accompanied the children of friends (ages 10, 12 and 14) for the Star Wars experience, and they all loved it. There is an admission charge, and reservations are encouraged.

Please let us know, Jennifer, if you have other questions. Enjoy the time with your family!
