We've booked reservations for our trip in 2020 with the DP. If there is an offer of free dining before our Sept. arrival, will we be able to add that on or should we be already holding the Dining Plan in our current package?

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Rudolf!

It's no secret around here that I really love the Disney Dining Plan, and of course, it's even better when I can get it for free. There has traditionally been a yearly offer where guests can add the Dining Plan to their vacation package for free, and it is always a super popular promotion that everyone wants to get their hands on!

If a Free Dine offer is announced for 2020 and your arrival date, Resort Hotel, and length of stay qualify for the offer you can adjust your vacation package to include the Dining Plan if you don't already have it booked. This happened to me a few years ago when I had a stay booked at Disney's Pop Century Resort. The Free Dine offer was announced after I had already booked my vacation and I had to make a few adjustments to my reservation to get a room that qualified for the offer, but after switching Resort Hotels I was able to take advantage of the promotion and my family saved quite a bit of money! If you want to add a Dining Plan to your vacation package, you can do so by calling Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and a Cast Member will help you sort it out and let you know what your new balance will be. All changes to your Dining Plan must be made at least 48 hours in advance of your vacation and cannot be done once you've arrived, so make sure to settle all your plans before you go!

I hope this answers your question, Rudolf, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
