    Alan from Kent Asked

Hi, we’ve booked an ADR the Yachtsman, we know it’s a 2 credit meal on the DDP, but my 14 year old daughter doesn’t eat a lot. Would we be able to order a couple of starters or a child’s meal and pay out of pocket for her rather than use 2 credits. Thanks

    Hi Alan!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Congratulations on securing a dining reservation at the Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney's Yacht Club Resort. This is one of my favourite restaurants at Walt Disney World, and I enjoy dinner there at least once every trip.   If you have time afterwards, I recommend that you explore the grounds, outside by the lake, and enjoy a stroll or a short boat ride over to Disney's Boardwalk.  You are also located within easy walking distance of Epcot's World Showcase, by using the International Gateway entrance (between the United Kingdom and France Pavilions). The Walt Disney World restaurants are very accommodating if Guests have any particular dining requests.  Discuss with your server that some of your party would be more comfortable choosing food options from the children's menu, and I am sure they will do all they can to assist you. Also tell them that you will use your Disney Dining Plan credits to pay for some of your meals, and will pay by other methods for the others.  You can use your Disney Dining Plan in whichever way you wish, using more entitlements on some days, and less on others. Your dining plan can be used from the time of check-in at your Resort hotel, until midnight on your day of departure.

It's worth noting that if you are using the Disney Dining Plan to pay for everyone at your dinner, they may not be able to offer the same flexibility of choosing from different menus.

Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions.  We will be happy to help you plan your magical holiday to Walt Disney World.
