We've always run into the love bug season at the end of September. This time we are going in the beginning of October, are we going to run into them this time?

Hi Shanna! If you ask an entomologist, he would tell you peak love bug seasons in Florida are April/May and August/September. You're most likely to encounter these small, harmless bugs flying in pairs then. However, on my early October trip last year, a pair of love bugs annoyed me by landing in my pina colada at the Grand Floridian pool, so it's possible you may see a few of them in October. Love bugs can be a minor nuisance during their peak season, but I'm not generally bothered by them, as long as they stay out of my cocktails!

Early October is a great time to visit Disney as the weather is comfortable, and you can experience both Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom and the Food & Wine Festival at Epcot!

Hope you have a magical vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We're happy to help!
