    Carynn from NY Asked

We’ll be traveling to Disney next August with our 1 year old. Do we add her to our reservation? How does she get into the parks? Thanks

    Hi there, Carynn!

You will want to include your daughter on your Disney Resort Reservation. She doesn't technically "count", so if you wanted a room with a king sized bed that has a maximum occupancy of two, you can still do that. But you do want to include her when you are booking your room.

You also want to add her to any table service dining reservations that you happen to make. Even though she won't likely be eating much of anything, the restaurant will want to know she's included in your party for purposes of making sure you have a table that would accommodate a high chair or booster seat.

As far as getting into the parks, she just goes right in. No theme park passes are necessary for children under the age of 3. She can still ride anything that doesn't have height restrictions, and if there's an attraction you have a FastPass+ for, she won't need one.

Did you know Disney World has awesome Baby Care Centers? Change diapers, rock a baby to sleep, or purchase forgotten baby items. They're awesome.

Also, check out the Rider Switch Option while doing your planning. Even if there are attractions your little princess can't do, there will be some you and another grown up can wait in line for together, and then take turns riding and holding the baby.

    Have a fantastic trip, Carynn!
