We went to WDW 3 yrs ago, but my boys were too young for character photos. This year at 5 1/2 and 3 1/2 they will want to meet their favorites. Any tips on the best time to meet our favorites (Mickey, Buzz, etc) w/o standing in lines for 30min or longer?

    Hi Jamie,

Given the ages of your kids, I agree that you'll likely be greeting lots of the characters. While there are definitely cases where you'll be waiting in lines, there are some things you can do to minimize wait times.

First, I'd recommend making one or more character meal reservations, especially if there are some must-see characters for your kids. Our favorites are Chef Mickey, 'Ohana (for breakfast), and the Crystal Palace. Characters go from table to table so you won't need to wait in line to see them.

You can also now make FastPass+ reservations for certain character greeting experiences. Just keep in mind that these reservations will take the place of attraction FastPass reservations.

If you do have to wait in line, try to go toward the beginning or the end of the day, when lines are smaller. Be sure to get a times guide in the parks to know what hours the characters will be there.

I hope that helps! Have a great vacation!
