I went to get my fast passes...60 days ahead and the calendar showed it had been opened 5-6 days earlier. Didn't get the FP's we wanted. Should it have been open earlier than the 60 days? Coming with family in January. Need to do it right.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Carol! I understand your want for perfect prep! I mark my calendar for dining reservations, FastPass+ dates as well as Online Resort Check-in! Once it all comes together I feel really excited.

It never hurts to mark your calendar for a day or so ahead of 60 days before check-in. I find that it reminds me to switch gears and pay attention! If you log onto My Disney Experience, you’ll be able to check the FastPass+ portal to see if it’s open yet. I have seen it open at 61 days, but also a bit late at 59 days. If you check often, you’ll never be late, though you can always call the Internet Help Desk if you find that the portal is not open for you right at 60 days. Always try to book your most-wanted FastPass+ reservation first, and then work your way through the day. Remember that you can book your passes for length-of-stay when you’re staying at a Disney Resort Hotel. I try to make notes in my calendar of what I want on any given day and try to pack our FastPasses into the morning. This way, once my initial three selections are over, I can add more throughout the day!

There have been plenty of times that I haven’t been able to get a FP+ for Flight of Passage or Slinky Dog Dash, so I remember that one long line is better than not experiencing it all! I’ve also woken up early with my coffee and headed straight to Rope Drop where I can usually get a high demand ride in before the day really gets going. TTFN, TaTa For Now! ~ Lindsey P.
