chEARs Joni!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you have a fantastic trip coming up, and you came to the perfect place for tips. My kiddos are almost seven and five, so let’s see if we ALL can help you!
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is an excellent choice of Resort for your family. There is something for every kid (young and old), to delight in, from Little Mermaid to Cars, Nemo to The Lion King, you all will be immersed in fun with your favorite Disney pals. The
Resort has 2500 sculpted icons that range from Mufasa to Squirt, and each of the sculptures is scaled to make you feel like you are in the movie that it is portraying. Recently, my friends and I took a totally fun picture in front of King Triton in The Little Mermaid section, we all looked like guppies compared to him!
Magic Kingdom Park is MADE for families, and there are plenty of attractions that the entire family can enjoy! My kiddos are petite, so until recently, there were quite a few rides where we needed to do
Rider Switch. Now that they are over the 40’ mark, we can do almost every one together! Our three must-do attractions are Seven Dwarves Mine Train, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Pirates of the Caribbean. If you haven’t already, download the
My Disney Experience app and get
Fastpasses for these three! Once you have used your three Fastpasses in a day, you can get one at a time throughout the day.
At
Disney’s Hollywood Studios, it’s all about stepping into the story! From Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular to the brand new Lightning McQueen Racing Academy, the attractions are entertaining and interactive! Two of our favorite attractions in all of the Parks are here - Slinky Dog Dash is a must-do, and Toy Story Mania is fun for the whole family! If you have a young Padawan amongst you, make sure to sign up for
Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple. Under the watchful eye of the Jedi, younglings will learn to use the Force for good! After the academy, jump into hyperspace at
Star Tours - The Adventures Continue!
Joni, it will be hot when you arrive, so make sure to bring lots of water and sunscreen.
The Baby Care Centers in each of the Parks carry a small supply of first aid supplies, and water and sunscreen are readily available to buy in the gift shops. You will do a lot of walking, so you also might want to consider a
stroller rental. We love to use the stroller as both a ride and a place to corral all.the.stuff!
I wish you a vacation that is practically perfect in every way!
