Is the weekdays following thanksgiving weekend slow?

    Hi Paul,

Thank you for coming to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your holiday travel planning question. Thanksgiving and Christmas are some of my favorite times to visit Walt Disney World with all of the amazing decorations and special events.

While the weekdays following Thanksgiving are not typically as crowded as the weekend of Thanksgiving, I would still say they can be pretty moderate due to special events such as Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom and the start of the Candlelight Processional and Holidays Around the World in Epcot. It is hard to predict exactly how heavy the crowds will be during this popular season.

I always recommend choosing your FastPass+ selections prior to your trip as these can be a way to beat the crowds at select attractions and shows. Keep in mind there is a limit to these and they are not available for every attraction. Also, you can book your advanced dining reservations up to 180 days in advance online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463) as a way of planning ahead.

No matter when you choose to visit, I know you will have a magical time. Happy Planning!
