Hi, which weekdays are the best/least crowded time to visit Magic Kingdom in May? First Disney visit (5days4nt) with our 2&4 yr old. Will 2 days be too rush to enjoy MK? Trying to leave a day in between park visits to enjoy& relax by resort pool.

    Hey Jessica!

My children are about the same age as yours. We try to dedicate at least two days to Magic Kingdom Park on each of our vacations.  Two days will give you plenty of time to experience the best of Magic Kingdom.  We usually use the first day to really see and do as much as possible.  The second day is dedicated to seeing the things we missed the first day and revisiting the things the kids just can't get enough of.  We're able to do that even with taking a break in the middle of the day to return to our resort for naps.

Using one of your days to relax at the resort is a fantastic idea!  Having a day to recharge your batteries is really important.  After all, it is a vacation, right?!  We've found that our little ones have just as much fun (if not more) spending the day at the resort pool.

As far as the best/worst days to visit in May, you'll find the beginning of May to be the least crowded.  The closer it gets to Memorial Day weekend, the larger the crowds will get.  We use unofficial sites like TouringPlans.com to pick which days to visit which parks.  Typically, our personal experience has shown us the middle of the week is a good time to visit Magic Kingdom because many families start and end their vacations with visits there.

    Happy planning, Jessica!
