Hello! On Wednesday December 4th we booked the Fantasmic Dining Package. Hollywood Studios closes at 8 pm that night. I asked Disney what time Fantasmic starts they said they believe it starts at 8. How can that be if the park closes at 8? Could u clarify?

    Hiya Lauren,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It is FANTASMIC news that you’re planning to see Fantasmic! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. That is one of my family’s very favorite experiences at Walt Disney World Resort – we laugh, we cheer, and I get chills every single time. The show is pure magic.

I just checked the Park Hours for December 4, 2019, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios lists a park closing time of 8:00 p.m. I also checked the time for Fantasmic! using the calendar on the attraction’s webpage, and the showtime is listed at 8:00 p.m. That’s totally normal, Lauren, so no need to worry. Disney sometimes schedules nighttime spectaculars for after a park’s closing – this just means that, when the show is over, it’s time to head home, as the attractions will all be closed. I actually love the feeling of walking through Disney’s Hollywood Studios when it’s closed – there’s something so dreamy about the shadowy palm trees and glowing neon.

You know what’s extra dreamy? You’ll be visiting during the holidays, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios is ahhh-mazing at this time of year. This park decks the halls with vintage glamor, and it’s so much fun to see all the special touches everywhere. My family loves Sunset Season’s Greetings, featuring fun holiday shorts projected on the Hollywood Tower Hotel and snow falling on Sunset Boulevard. Stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog, as they’ll reveal more details and tips for festive fun as we get closer to the holidays.

Lauren, have the BEST time this December!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
