    Mary jane from VA Asked

We have been going to WDW for 25+ years. DH and I are now thinking about DL for 2019. We park hop, stay at deluxe resorts and dine w/ deluxe dinning. What differences in packages should I be aware of when planning?

    Greetings Mary Jane!

Thanks again for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am so excited for you and your husband to experience the unique charm of the Disneyland Resort. After visiting the Walt Disney Resort so many times, I think you will appreciate the proximity of the theme parks, Downtown Disney District, and Disneyland Resort Hotels.

Since you love the impeccable service and decor of Walt Disney World Deluxe Resorts, I would highly recommend Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. We just returned from a weekend getaway and were once again reminded why we love this hotel so much. Its newly refreshed rooms, stunning lobby, wonderful food options, and direct access to Disney California Adventure Park will make for an unforgettable trip.

The Disneyland Resort does not offer dining plans, but if signature dining is one of your priorities, I'd love to personally recommend Napa Rose located inside Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa for its upscale California cuisine. Whether you prefer a formal dinner or just want to relax in the Napa Rose Lounge (no reservations required) with some appetizers and drinks, it's a must-do on your trip. Another wonderful signature dining option is Carthay Circle Restaurant located inside Disney California Adventure Park. The vintage decor, Disney jazz tunes, and great food and drinks make me feel like I have traveled back in time to 1920's Hollywood.

I hope this helps, and have a magical day!
