Hi there! We'll be at WDW at Xmas, thinking of MVMCP on Dec 22 (our only option), most people advise against it because it is expected to be the busiest party of the year, d you recommend we skip the party and just go to the MK on non party days

    Hi Ifeyemi,

You are going to be visiting Walt Disney World at such a magical time of year. When it is decked out for the winter holidays, the resort is even more beautiful than ever!

You will have to make a decision for your traveling party about what you think is the best course of action; however, I would say go for it! I love Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. I really enjoy the special holiday feeling you get when the whole of Magic Kingdom is focused on this celebration. Yes, it will likely be busy, but that is okay. I suggest that you go ahead and plan to go to the party!

You will be visiting Walt Disney World at a very popular time of year. Two of my best tips for this are: number one, arrive at the theme parks early, even 30 minutes or so ahead of the opening time if you can. Even at this very busy time of year, guests tend to arrive at the theme parks a bit later in the morning. If you arrive first thing in the morning, you will be able to experience more attractions in less time.

Second, do take advantage of Disney FastPass+ service. This service will allow you to choose up to three attractions per day ahead of time to experience with shorter wait times. Especially at a busy time of year like the week of Christmas, having made Disney FastPass+ selections ahead of time are a great benefit. Once you have used your three selections, you can make another and then another, throughout the day as availability allows.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Ifeyemi. Have a great time planning your magical vacation, and please do let us know if you have any further questions.
