Going to WDW 10/08, ds 7 & ds 4. Wondering if anyone has been to Donald's Safari at the Tusker house and how it compares to other character meals. We have many ADR's and are trying to narrow our choices down. Thanks for your help.

I have been to the Tusker House character meal. The level of character interaction is top-notch, as it is with all character dining. The characters at this meal are Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Mickey. If any of your kids are Daisy Duck fans, this is one of the few places to get quality time with her :-)

The food is served buffet style. I happen to love this meal because in addition to traditional American favorites that appeal to the kids (at breakfast there are the usual waffles, eggs, bacon, fruit, etc.), there are also many African dishes that are new to me. I love trying new foods, learning about new spices and cooking methods, and exploring new tastes. It's fun for me to do this in an environment where my kids are also happy. (And maybe, just maybe, they'll take a bite of something new too!)

Another great feature of the Tusker House has nothing to do with meal, but rather with the location of the meal. Tusker House is located just steps away from the Kilimanjaro Safari ride at the Animal Kingdom. We love to get one of the earliest seatings for breakfast, around 8:05 a.m. This means we'll be finishing our meal just as the park is opening to regular guests and we'll get out on one of the first safari rides. I always enjoy the safari first thing in the morning because the animals seem to be more active then.

Hope you have a great trip!
