Hi Moms. On our WDW vacation, my boys will be 8 and 16. What character dining experience would be good for such an age difference? Of course it has to be non-childish for the 16 year old. Any suggestions? Thankyou so much.

The only character meal that I would say both your boys might be less happy at is the Play n' Dine meal at Disney's Hollywood Studios. This particular meal is very much geared to the preschool-age viewers of Playhouse Disney. You might also want to think twice about the princess-themed meals at Cinderella's Royal Table, Akershus, and 1900 Park Fare. A 16-year-old boy might enjoy lots of attention from the beautiful princesses :-), but your 8-year-old might not be as thrilled.

Chef Mickey's is the classic character dining experience. The big Disney characters are there: Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto. The restaurant is large enough that you will see guests of all ages there. Your kids would blend right in. Other more "mature" character meals include the Cape May Cafe, Garden Grill, and Ohana.

Hope you have a great trip!
