We are going to WDW for the 1st time in October. My children are 4 yrs and almost 2 when we go. Would Mickey's Halloween Party be a good event for them?

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is lots of fun. Most of the rides are open, and because a limited number of tickets are sold for the event, lines for the rides are usually quite manageable. There are also special character greeting zones, unique parades and fireworks, dance parties and trick or treating. Basically it's Halloween heaven.

That being said, I would not have taken my own children to MNSSHP when they were ages 2 and 4. The Halloween Party starts at 7:00 p.m. and runs until midnight. When my kids were preschoolers they went to bed at about 7:30 -- a late night for them would be 8:15. Any real deviation from their schedule would make them screaming wrecks the next day. I also think that they would have been too tired at the party to really enjoy it.

If your kids are on a different schedule or if you could get them a long late afternoon nap, then maybe you would have more success than I would have. If they are awake and rested, they would likely have a blast.
