We will be in WDW on Thanksgiving - where is the best place to have a family "Thanksgiving" meal that we can also use our dining plan? Thanks!

    Hello, Jennifer,

How exciting to be planning a trip to Walt Disney World over Thanksgiving!  When I read your question, I immediately thought of the Magic Kingdom's Liberty Tree Tavern with its colonial theming and traditional Thanksgiving meal served year round. If you dine there for dinner, the meal is served family style making it feel even more like home.

If you'd like to try something different, I also highly recommend Boma - Flavors of Africa at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. The food here is absolutely amazing and will give you a chance to explore some more non-traditional offerings along with some traditional choices while still enjoying a lovely meal.

If you'd like to feel as if you've gone back to the home of an older relative or friend, you may enjoy the 50's Prime Time Cafe at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  With the vintage feel of the 1950s, it is both kitschy and delightfully fun with meatloaf, chicken pot pie, fried chicken, and pot roast on the menu. I know for me I feel as if I'm back at my grandparents' home, which really feels like the holidays for me.

While the previous choices are all 1 credit Table Service options on the Disney Dining Plan, you can use 2 Table Service credits at the California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort.  The views from the top of the resort and the fine dining experience make it an even more special evening and place to celebrate Thanksgiving.

Wishing you a magical trip!  -Kara
