I’ve been to WDW several times, this will be my first time using DDP. I’m almost able to book ADRs and want to make sure I plan around parades, FP, fireworks, etc. Can you give me a general idea of how long we should plan to be there? e.g. BOG dinner?

    Hi Megan!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It's our pleasure to assist you with your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!

You're going to love being able to dine around the "World" with the Disney Dining Plan. I certainly understand your concern and think you're very wise to plan your dining reservations around parades, FastPass+ selections and nighttime spectaculars. I do the exact same thing to ensure my family doesn't miss any of the attractions or entertainment options on our "must do" list.

I get so excited when my 180-day booking window approaches for making dining reservations. I usually allow 60 - 90 minutes for Character Dining and Table-Service restaurants, but closer to 2 hours for any Signature Dining locations. I've found that we are not always seated right at our dining reservation time, so I like to allow a little extra time for our overall dining experience. Be Our Guest Restaurant is one of my family's very favorite dining locations, and we've enjoyed both lunch and dinner at the enchanting restaurant. Since Be Our Guest Restaurant is a Quick-Service location at lunch, I would plan to be there approximately 30 - 45 minutes; whereas, I would allow at least 60 - 90 minutes at dinner when it transforms to a 3-course dining experience. One last tip: be sure to secure a spot along the parade route at least 45 minutes prior to the start of Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade for optimal viewing. I also recommend securing your place for nighttime spectaculars in advance to ensure you have a good vantage spot.

I hope this information is helpful, Megan! Let us know if you have any new questions or would like dining recommendations. We would love to assist you further in planning a magical trip!

    Bon Appétit,
    Jodie
