We will be at WDW September 4 to 14. We are hoping to do the star wars dessert party on Tuesday September 10, but there's no availability open past June as of now. With galaxy's edge opening are they atoll going to be offering the dessert party?

    Hi Ashley,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for your question. Wow, your family will be some of the first Guests at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in Disney's Hollywood Studios – are you sure you didn't receive an advance secret dispatch from Princess Leia with those dates?

My family attended the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party last year, and we thought it really lived up to the name – spectacular! The desserts, snacks, and drinks were delicious (I especially loved the Lightspeed Margarita), and it was so nice to have time to visit our favorite characters, snack some more, and just enjoy the Star Wars Launch Bay and its ambience before heading to the fantastic reserved seating for the fireworks. We liked it so much, we gave dessert party tickets to a good friend as a gift for her Disneymoon!

Ashley, I haven't received any dispatches from the Rebel Alliance or the First Order about any changed plans for the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party, but be sure to read the Disney Parks Blog for the latest news. As of today, I see dates as late as the end of July, so my advice is to keep an eye on the calendar on the party's web page.

I'm using the Force to send a little pixie dust (maybe it's called Force Dust?) your way. Here's hoping those dates open up soon and you're ready for extra Chewbacca hugs (my very favorite), delicious intergalactic treats, and that amazing fireworks view.

May the Force be with you, and have a magical vacation,
    Robyn
