We will be at WDW the second week in May and have several character meals scheduled but now wondering if we need to make additional reservations for other restaurants before our arrival or will we be able to make reservations once we are on property a day

    Hi Heather,

All restaurants at Walt Disney World are very popular and tend to get booked up, especially at busy times. If there are some non-character meals you know you want to dine at then I strongly advise you to book a reservation asap by calling 407-939-3463. If you decide once you're at Disney that you no longer want that reservation it can be easily cancelled at any resort concierge, park guest services or by calling the reservation number personally.

You may find that there are indeed reservations to be had at some restaurants once you arrive in WDW but I always go by the theory that I'd rather book in advance and know I have the reservation than take a chance on the day and be disappointed.

Just incase you need some ideas my favourite restaurants are Teppan Edo in Epcot, Kona Cafe at the Polynesian and Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian.

    Have a great trip,
