What WDW resorts are the best ones for school groups? Would love to stay at one of the deluxe resorts with my students but I don't think that will ever be in the budget. Which ones do your students like best?

    Hi, Jill!

    What a great question!

We always bring our students on their Senior Class Trip to a Disney All-Star Resort. While we've stayed at Disney's All-Star Sports in the past, we've moved over to Disney's All-Star Music and have really been happy there.

When our PA school travels to WDW, we bring LOTS of kids...anywhere from 350-400 of them! The beauty of Disney's All-Star Resorts is that the different sections are separated from each other, essentially helping to keep us together in our own microcosm. When we stay in the Broadway or Rock sections of All-Star Music, the Piano Pool is right there for us to enjoy when they need to blow off steam before a private dinner dance or Extra Magic Hours. With Intermission Food Court so accessible, we've also got a perfect meeting place for early-morning chaperone check-ins as the kids say hello, grab breakfast and head off to the Resort buses. If you need coach buses, as we do at times, the lot between ASM and All-Star Sports is a convenient place to do so, as it's even closer than the Resort Bus access near the lobby.

Cast Members working poolside activities are so happy when our students interact in a hoola-hoop contest or water balloon toss alongside the younger Guests and their families. Some of my favorite Senior Trip memories are of watching our students enjoy the magic of the resort as they enjoy some innocent fun during this, their last hurrah before prom and graduation scatter them to universities throughout the country.

Affordability is the most important feature when we book such a large trip, Jill, so we keep an eye on the bottom line so as to enable more kids to join in the fun. While there are surely many other venues that can accommodate a school trip, we've found that these kids just want to spend time together, in the magic of Disney; All-Star Music allows more kids to do just that.

Send more questions about school trips to WDW, Jill. I'd love to help!
