Hello, Alissa!  Welcome to the Moms Panel!

You would be saving money by purchasing a Disney Annual Pass for both you and your DH.  I broke down the numbers for you, but please keep in mind that prices are subject to change.  For a three day Park Hopper Ticket, for your June vacation, you are looking at $636.88 for 2 adults.  For you October trip, you would be looking at $734.86 for 7 days.  All these prices include the Park Hopper Option.  The total amount for these tickets together is $1371.74.  A Disney Annual Pass will cost $1222.62 for two adults.  Again, please keep in mind that prices are subject to change.  An annual pass will also allow you merchandise discounts at many Disney owned stores. I am also a Annual Disney Passholder and I simply love the perks and money saving opportunities that come with them.  I would definitely purchase the annual passes for you and your DH.
