Hello! We come to WDW once every 18 months, and my 10 year old seems to have lost "the magic". Do you have any recommendations to do something special when we arrive to kick off our trip that will blow his socks off? Something waiting in room?

Great question, and so wonderful that you are focused on making sure he has a great time!

So my unorthodox suggestion is to go the other way. Instead of trying to get him to recapture the "magic", shoot him in another direction. Show him the other fun things to do at Walt Disney World that don't have a character greeting involved.

The bottom line is, let him come back to the magic on his own. Show him that a Walt Disney World vacation can still be fun for him, even if he doesn't like all that 'kids' stuff. I bet he will come around eventually, and have a great time on the way there!
