We are going to WDW Oct 31 to Nov 6 and do not have tickets to the Halloween party-but my daughter still wanted to dress up on Halloween and go to either Epcot or HS. Is that okay? Can my husband dress up to?

Children are welcome to dress up at WDW any time, any where. She would be welcome to visit Epcot or Disney's Hollywood Studios in costume. The costume policy for adults is much different. Adults are only allowed to wear costumes at the Magic Kingdom, and only for special events such as Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.

If you're looking for a Halloween experience at WDW without visiting MNSSHP, then there are some alternatives:

There is treat-or-treating at Downtown Disney on both October 30 and 31 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Cast members at many of the shops there will be passing out candy. Additionally, there will be music, Halloween storytelling, and magicians there to entertain guests.

    Other Halloween events may include:

    - Halloween face painting at Pop Century
    - Entertainment at the Boardwalk
    - Trick or treating in public areas at the Grand Floridian
    - Showings of the film "Haunted Mansion" at the Grand Floridian and Contemporary
    - A scavenger hunt at Saratoga Springs

Most of the Disney resorts will have some special happenings for the holiday. Be sure to check with the front desk of your hotel.
