We were just at WDW 4 months ago and have already booked our return for October 2009. This time we will be staying at the Beach Club. Is there any fun things to do around the Beach Club/Yacht Club/Boardwalk area in the evenings?

    Hi Matt!

How exciting that you're coming back!  The Yacht and Beach Club are among my favorite resorts.  Stormalong Bay, the shared pool (it's actually a mini water-park) is perhaps the best-themed at Disney.  Your resort is also one of the best spots for evening entertainment because of its proximity to the Boardwalk.

The Boardwalk boasts two wonderful locations for dancing and singing the night away.  Atlantic Dance is a 21 and over club which features a DJ  and dancing, and Jellyrolls is the home of the famous "dueling pianos,"  where competing piano players take audience requests and encourage sing-alongs.  I've been to both locations with my husband while our kids were hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa, and had a great time.  The Boardwalk also features some of Disney's best dining, with the Flying Fish Cafe and Spoodles among a number of other fabulous spots.  In addition, the Boardwalk has a number of free family-friendly entertainers that rove the "planks" and entertain the crowds, including magicians, comedians and other "street" performers.  My kids always end up getting captivated by one of the performers.

Finally, the fact that you can stroll over to either Epcot from your resort, makes Illuminations a fabulous way to end a Disney Day.

I think you will be delighted with your resort choice this trip!  Have a fabulous time!
