We will be at WDW over the MLK holiday. Which park do you think would be the least crowded? If the weather cooperates what do you think about the water park on that Monday? Thank you!

    Mark:

The park that I always recommend on busy holidays is Animal Kingdom.  #1 It's usually not most folk's first pick....Magic Kingdom is.  #2 Like Epcot, it is one of the larger parks and can accommodate larger crowds in general.

As for hitting the water parks, Blizzard Beach is going to be closed for refurbishment during that time, but Typhoon Lagoon will have just reopened from its annual refurbishment.  The water is heated so while you're in the wave pool you'll be good to go....but once you're out, that's a guess.  Weather in January in Orlando is a bit unpredictable.  I personally find it too nippy for the pools (and obviously others do too for Disney to use the winter months for water park refurbishment because crowds are low), but I honestly don't think you'll be able to make the decision until you're there.

Good thing: bathing suits don't take up a lot of space in your suitcase.  And you might want to consider buying a "wet shirt" to wear over your suits for warmth--you'll see lots of them that time of year.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
