Hi, We are going to WDW May 14th ( seven days) my mother who is 59 has heart disease and type two diabetes. Her doctor has told her before to not say in the heat for too long because her legs and feet swell. Is it possible for her to obtain a GAC?

    Hi there Michelle!

You're more than welcome to request a Guest Assistance Card (GAC) for your mother. Simply stop by any Guest Relations location inside the four theme parks and explain that your mother has mobility concerns that prevent her from standing in the heat for long periods of time due to swelling of her legs and feet. This card will allow your mother and up to five additional members of your travel party to access alternative entrances at most attractions without having to stand in long lines or walk long distances and it's good for the entire length of your stay. You'll need to present the Guest Assistance Card to the helpful Cast Members at the attractions for additional assistance.

Since the the average theme park touring itinerary can put several miles on a pair of sneakers over the course of a few days, you may also wish to consider renting a wheelchair or electric convenience vehicle for you mom during the trip.

Thanks so much for visiting us here at the Walt Disney World Moms Panel and feel free to send more questions my way!
