Going to WDW in 2009. Our kids' birthdays are a few wks apart and it would be fun to do a "joint" party at Chef Mickey's. Is this possible even though it won't really be on their actual birthday? They will be 6 and 5. Or what would you suggest?

You want to celebrate a birthday, then Disney wants to celebrate a birthday, no matter what the actual date is.

Chef Mickey's is a great spot for a party. In fact, that's where we had dinner the night of my twins' 6th birthday. The restaurant has a very fun, upbeat atmosphere that your kids will love. When you make your reservation, be sure to tell them that you will be celebrating birthdays at your table. You can order a cake to be brought out at the end of the meal. (We did this, but there were so many yummy desserts at the buffet that we ended up having the cake boxed. We brought it back to the room and had it for breakfast the next morning. The kids still think it's a riot that mommy let them eat cake for breakfast.)

If you would like to have special birthday gifts sent to your room, you could contact the WDW Floral and Gift Basket department. They can be reached at disneyflorist.com
